Project Overview
Leasing website for the most historic office building in San Francisco
As one of the most beloved properties in San Francisco, the Russ Building remains an iconic feature of the city’s diverse history. After a full restoration was completed in 2021, new ownership sought a leasing website to market the property to prospective commercial tenants.
Problem
Since 1927, the Russ Building has operated as a landmark office space for companies in the Bay Area, housing tenants from a range of industries. After a full physical restoration and renovation of the building was completed in 2021, new ownership (Shorenstein Properties) sought a new leasing website, which reflected the updated look and feel of the space.
Solution
After a site visit and comprehensive review of the Russ Building’s current brand collateral, a full visual refresh was conducted. This involved updating logos, brand elements, photography, color palette, etc. to provide an enhance and accessible web experience. Ultimately a full design system and leasing website were created.
My Role / Responsibilities
I was brought on as a freelance Design Lead to spearhead the updated visual identity and translate those changes into a comprehensive design system for use with their new leasing website.
